NTPC Green Energy Limited (NGEL) has expanded its renewable energy portfolio with the commercial operation of 77.67 MW of additional renewable energy capacity in Gujarat, comprising 68.22 MW of solar capacity at Dahod and 9.45 MW of wind capacity at Nakhatrana in Kutch.
The addition includes 68.22 MW from the 200 MW Gujarat Solar PV Project at Dahod, developed through NTPC Renewable Energy Limited. This capacity was declared commercially operational with effect from July 23, 2026.
NGEL has also commissioned 9.45 MW of the Vanki Wind Energy Project at Nakhatrana in Kutch, with commercial operation effective from September 19, 2026.
Following these additions, the NTPC Green Energy group’s installed capacity has reached 10,920.53 MW, strengthening its position in India’s growing renewable energy sector.
The latest commissioning also highlights Gujarat’s continued importance in NTPC’s renewable-energy expansion, with the state supporting both large-scale solar generation in Dahod and wind power development in the Kutch region.
At the broader group level, NTPC’s total installed capacity stands at 91,164 MW, while commercial capacity has reached 90,084 MW.
The phased commissioning of the Dahod and Vanki projects adds to NGEL’s growing operational renewable portfolio and reflects the company’s continued focus on expanding solar and wind capacity across India.
