India’s one of the leading Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) players in the Transmission & Distribution (T&D) sector Company, Transrail Lighting Limited has secured fresh orders worth ₹927 crore, strengthening its position in India’s power transmission infrastructure market. The latest order wins primarily comprise domestic 765 kV and 400 kV transmission line projects, along with conductor supply orders for the United States.
Announced on October 20, 2026, the new contracts have increased Transrail Lighting’s cumulative order intake for FY2026–27 to ₹3,356 crore. The company also stated that it has announced orders worth more than ₹2,300 crore over the preceding three weeks, reflecting sustained momentum across its domestic and international business operations.
Transrail Lighting Wins 765 kV and 400 kV Transmission Projects
The latest order package is primarily driven by engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) projects in India’s high-voltage transmission segment. The contracts cover 765 kV and 400 kV transmission lines, which form an important part of the country’s electricity transmission infrastructure.
These high-voltage networks facilitate the movement of electricity across long distances and support power evacuation, grid connectivity and reliable electricity distribution. The projects further strengthen Transrail’s presence in the domestic power transmission and distribution market.
In addition to the Indian EPC projects, the company has secured conductor supply orders for the US market. These international orders complement its domestic project portfolio and support its strategy of expanding business across geographies.
Transrail has not disclosed the individual contract values, customer names, project locations or execution timelines for the newly announced orders.
Order Intake Reaches ₹3,356 Crore in FY2026–27
With the latest ₹927 crore order wins, Transrail Lighting’s order intake for the current financial year has reached ₹3,356 crore. The company’s announcement of more than ₹2,300 crore in orders over the past three weeks highlights its recent order acquisition momentum.
The growing order pipeline provides additional project opportunities across transmission EPC and conductor supply. However, order intake represents the value of contracts secured and should not be confused with recognised revenue or profit.
Manufacturing Capabilities Support EPC Growth
Transrail Lighting’s integrated manufacturing capabilities remain an important part of its power T&D business. The company operates manufacturing facilities for galvanised lattice towers, overhead conductors, including high-temperature low-sag (HTLS) conductors, and galvanised monopoles. It also operates a tower testing facility.
These capabilities support its turnkey transmission projects by combining equipment manufacturing with engineering, supply and construction services.
Headquartered in India, Transrail has more than four decades of experience and a presence in over 60 countries across six continents. Its business portfolio also includes substations, civil construction, railways, solar EPC, and poles and lighting.
Commenting on the order momentum, Managing Director and CEO Randeep Narang highlighted the company’s growing scale, competitiveness and manufacturing strengths. He reiterated Transrail’s focus on expanding its domestic and international presence while building a diversified business across products and services.
The latest ₹927 crore order win reinforces Transrail Lighting’s FY2026–27 order pipeline and strengthens its position in the power transmission and distribution infrastructure sector.
