  • MNRE revision – 13th ALMM List-II
  • Revision date – 28 October 2026
  • New capacity – 7,063 MW
  • Total enlisted capacity – 44.9 GW
  • GREW Energy – 2,407 MW
  • AMPIN Solar One – 1,160 MW
  • Avaada Electro – 3,496 MW
  • Technologies – TOPCon and Mono PERC

The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has added 7,063 MW of solar cell manufacturing capacity to the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) List-II, taking the total enlisted capacity to approximately 44.9 GW. The development follows the ministry’s 13th revision of ALMM List-II, dated October 28, 2026.

The latest revision includes new enlistments from GREW Energy Private Limited and AMPIN Solar One Private Limited, along with an additional capacity enlistment by Avaada Electro Limited. The newly approved manufacturing capacity spans Madhya Pradesh, Odisha and Maharashtra, covering N-type TOPCon and Mono PERC solar cell technologies.

GREW Energy Secures 2,407 MW Solar Cell Enlistment

GREW Energy Private Limited has received a new enlistment of 2,407 MW under ALMM List-II for its manufacturing facility in Narmadapuram, Madhya Pradesh.

The enlisted capacity covers bifacial monocrystalline silicon TOPCon solar cells in the G12R format. The cells feature dimensions of 182.3 mm × 210 mm (±0.5 mm), a 16-busbar configuration and PID-free characteristics.

The addition brings GREW Energy’s solar cell manufacturing capacity into the government’s approved domestic supplier framework.

AMPIN Solar One Adds 1,160 MW of Mono PERC Capacity

AMPIN Solar One Private Limited has secured a new enlistment of 1,160 MW under the 13th revision. Its manufacturing facility is located in Odisha.

The enlisted capacity comprises bifacial monocrystalline PERC solar cells under model FFFMPM10R10ASO. The cells measure 182.2 mm × 183.75 mm and feature a 10-busbar configuration with PID-free characteristics.

AMPIN Solar One Private Limited is a joint venture company formed by AMPIN Energy Transition and Jupiter International Limited. Its inclusion in ALMM List-II adds another domestic manufacturer to India’s approved solar cell manufacturing base.

Avaada Electro Adds 3,496 MW Through Capacity Expansion

Avaada Electro Limited has secured an additional 3,496 MW of solar cell manufacturing capacity under the latest revision. Its enlisted manufacturing facility is located in Nagpur, Maharashtra.

The capacity addition covers four N-type TOPCon solar cell configurations, including G12R and G12 formats in half-cut and full-cell designs.

Following this addition, Avaada Electro’s total enlisted capacity under ALMM List-II increases from 3,621 MW to 7,117 MW.

ALMM List-II Capacity Reaches 44.9 GW

The three companies collectively contribute 7,063 MW of additional enlisted capacity

ManufacturerNew capacity
GREW Energy2,407 MW
AMPIN Solar One1,160 MW
Avaada Electro3,496 MW
Total7,063 MW

Consequently, total enlisted solar cell manufacturing capacity increases from approximately 37,795 MW to 44,858 MW, equivalent to 44.9 GW.

Understanding the ALMM Framework

The Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) is a regulatory framework administered by MNRE to establish approved sources of solar photovoltaic equipment for projects covered by applicable government procurement and support requirements.

The framework comprises two principal lists. List-I specifies approved models and manufacturers of solar PV modules, while List-II identifies approved models and manufacturers of solar PV cells.

The expansion of List-II strengthens regulatory visibility over domestic solar cell manufacturing and supports the development of India’s photovoltaic supply chain.

With the latest revision, India’s enlisted solar cell manufacturing capacity has reached approximately 44.9 GW, reflecting continued expansion of domestic manufacturing capabilities across established and advanced solar cell technologies.
