ACME Solar Holdings Limited has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with NTPC Limited for a 400 MW Inter-State Transmission System (ISTS)-connected Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) project under NTPC’s FDRE-01 tranche at a tariff of ₹4.37 per unit.
The agreement has been executed through ACME Solar’s wholly owned subsidiary, ACME Marigold Urja Private Limited. The project tariff has been adopted by the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC).
ACME Solar 400 MW FDRE Project to Connect with Raghanesda Substation
The proposed project will be connected to the Raghanesda substation through the ISTS network. ACME Solar has already secured the final grant of connectivity for the project and leased more than 800 acres of land to support its development.
The company stated that the project is progressing as planned and is on track for commissioning within the timelines specified under the PPA.
Project to Integrate Renewable Energy with Storage
ACME Solar 400 MW FDRE Project will combine renewable energy generation with suitable energy storage solutions to provide reliable and dispatchable electricity throughout the day.
Under the PPA, the project is required to maintain a minimum annual Capacity Utilisation Factor (CUF) of 40% and meet 90% of the peak power requirement for a cumulative duration of 4.5 hours daily across morning and evening peak periods.
The integration of energy storage will help align renewable power generation with demand patterns, particularly during peak electricity consumption hours.
ACME Solar’s PPA-Locked Portfolio Reaches 4,710 MW
Following the signing of the latest PPA, ACME Solar’s PPA-locked under-construction contracted portfolio has reached 4,710 MW, against its total under-construction contracted capacity of 5,380 MW.
The company’s overall contracted portfolio stands at 8,370 MW across solar, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), FDRE, hybrid and wind energy projects.
ACME Solar currently has approximately 3,123 MW of operational capacity and 5.24 GWh of BESS capacity.
The latest agreement strengthens the company’s presence in India’s FDRE market, where renewable energy combined with storage is increasingly important for meeting peak demand and improving the reliability of clean power supply.
