Gujarat-based global infrastructure and energy solutions provider Advait Energy Transitions Ltd., specializing in power transmission, telecommunications and green energy, has secured a battery-cell supply agreement with HiTHIUM to support its planned Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) manufacturing facility in Gujarat.

Advait Battery Ecosystem Pvt. Ltd. (ABEPL), a subsidiary of Advait Energy Transitions, has entered into a Master Supply Agreement (MSA) with HiTHIUM for the supply of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) prismatic battery cells. The agreement is aimed at supporting Advait’s planned 2.5 GWh annual cell-to-container BESS assembly facility at Gangad, Gujarat.

Under the agreement, HiTHIUM will supply 314 Ah LFP prismatic battery cells, with the arrangement providing for cell offtake of up to 1 GWh over the next 12 months. Advait has disclosed a contractual price of $49.5 per kWh for up to 350 MWh, while pricing for additional volumes will be determined based on future requirements and orders.

The Gangad facility is being developed as an integrated BESS assembly platform covering battery module and pack assembly, container integration and system-level solutions. The planned 2.5 GWh annual capacity is intended to cater to utility-scale energy storage, commercial and industrial applications, and renewable-energy projects.

The partnership with HiTHIUM is expected to strengthen Advait’s battery-storage supply chain as the company expands its presence across India’s growing energy-storage market. The use of LFP chemistry is aligned with the requirements of large-scale stationary energy-storage applications, where safety, cycle life and operational reliability are key considerations.

Advait is also developing capabilities across the wider BESS value chain, including energy management systems, controls and system integration. The company has been pursuing standalone BESS projects in Gujarat, including projects at Radhanpur and Junagadh, further expanding its involvement in both BESS project development and manufacturing.

India’s energy-storage market is gaining momentum as renewable-energy capacity expands and the power sector requires greater flexibility for integrating variable solar and wind generation. Battery storage is increasingly being deployed for peak management, grid balancing, renewable-energy integration and ancillary applications.

For Advait Energy Transitions, the HiTHIUM supply agreement represents a key step toward establishing its planned cell-to-container BESS manufacturing ecosystem in Gujarat. The company’s strategy combines battery-system manufacturing with project development and energy-management capabilities, positioning the Gangad facility as an important component of its broader green-energy expansion.
