Vikram Solar has secured a 400 MW module supply order for decentralised solar projects across Maharashtra, with supplies of 620 Wp N-Type TOPCon modules starting in October 2026.
Vikram Solar Limited, one of India’s leading solar PV module manufacturers, has secured a 400 MW solar module supply order from a highly reputed EPC player for a portfolio of decentralised solar projects being developed across multiple locations in Maharashtra.
The order strengthens Vikram Solar’s presence in India’s expanding agricultural-feeder solarisation segment, which is emerging as an important part of the country’s transition toward decentralised and reliable renewable energy infrastructure.
Under the agreement, Vikram Solar will supply its 620 Wp N-Type TOPCon G12R solar modules. The modules feature glass-to-glass construction, bifacial technology and half-cut cells, designed to deliver high power output and improved energy generation.
Supplies are scheduled to begin in October 2026. The EPC customer and financial value of the order have not been disclosed.
Supporting Agricultural Feeder Solarisation
The projects are being developed across multiple locations in Maharashtra as part of the growing deployment of decentralised solar power for agricultural electricity requirements.
Agricultural feeder solarisation can enable renewable power generation closer to consumption centers, potentially reducing dependence on power supplied over long transmission and distribution networks. It can also support greater integration of solar generation into local electricity infrastructure.
The development is aligned with the broader objectives of Maharashtra’s Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY) 2.0, which focuses on expanding decentralised solar power for agricultural feeders.
Vikram Solar Expands Module Business
The 400 MW order adds to Vikram Solar’s domestic module supply pipeline at a time when demand for high-efficiency solar modules is increasing across utility-scale and decentralised projects.
Vikram Solar is headquartered in Kolkata, West Bengal, and has an international presence across 39 countries. The company specialise in photovoltaic module manufacturing and has built a pan-India distribution network comprising 119 authorized distributors and more than 750 dealers.
According to the company, Vikram Solar has been recognized as a Top Performer by PVEL for nine consecutive editions of its PV Module Reliability Scorecard and has been included in BloombergNEF’s Tier 1 solar PV module manufacturer list for 10 consecutive quarters.
With module supplies scheduled to commence in October 2026, the order highlights the growing role of N-Type TOPCon technology and high-power modules in India’s decentralised agricultural solarisation market.
